We hand pour every candle in Hummelstown Pennsylvania, a little town right outside of Hershey Pa. Our candles make wonderful gifts and are perfect for every home.

Since the start of covid-19 we have had an increase in packages stolen. Please make sure you have a safe place for delivery. Our insurance will not cover packages that are marked delivered but missing.

****If your candle arrives damaged please contact us with a photo within 7 days or the item can not be replaced. Make sure to inspect your candles once you receive them. Send order #, photo, and date received to hiddentreasuresoycandles@gmail.com. Do not discard the candle, the postal service may contact you for further inspection.****

Q. My candles order says shipped but tracking has not updated?

**** Please allow 1,2 days for processing orders. We assign all orders with a tracking number within 24 hours after you place the order, but it may take longer to process. Orders are shipped Monday through Friday. Allow extra time for Holidays and weekends. We do our best to ship all orders within 1.2 days. All orders are shipped United States Postal Priority Mail. Once the item ships it will be from 1-5 days depending on region.

Q. Can I receive a Candle with no treasure  in it?

A. We are 100% sure there is a treasure in every candle. It is impossible for there to be NO Treasure.. All of the steps below are based on jewelry being present in the product.  If the treasure was missing, the next stage could not be completed

Our entire process for making the candle involves a treasure  first being put in the jar. All of the treasures are placed by hand by us. Than we pour the candle by hand, After the candle is cured we than place the back label over the TREASURE. If the treasure is not present we do not put it for sale. We take several steps to ensure a treasure in the candle.

Did you know, when a candle has been burned, the walls of the jar have stains from the flame (can be easily wiped off)?  But every picture we receive of "no treasure, the jars are completely wiped clean, presumably to hide where the foil and glue were removed, leaving an obvious void of the stains from the burning flame. 

Q. My treasure is broken what do I do?

A. We do not replace jewelry that has been dug out of the candle, If you let your candle burn down far enough to remove it without force, it will not break. Our jewelry is very delicate and if you remove it with force, it will damage the piece. If you contact us for a defective piece of jewelry please send a photo of the candle and jewelry to see if it is defective from the supplier. Sometimes jewelry does come defective but we do inspect it every time we put them in, but occasionally it can be missed.

A. If your piece is damaged by defect, please return the treasure to Hidden Treasure Candles, 8 West Main St.. Hummelstown Pa 17036 . Send a note with order number and we can have it replaced. All replacements must be sent back to us to qualify for a new piece. If you want to exchange a piece of jewelry that is not damaged you must pay for shipping.

Q. I can not smell my candle?

There are many reasons you might not be smelling your candles. Here are a few of them: 

The most common reason candles seem to lose their smell is because of something called Olfactory Fatigue. This is where your nose becomes so used to a smell, it becomes desensitized to it. This is a temporary, normal thing that happens. It inhibits your nose from being able to distinguish a particular odor after it's been around it a long time.

For example, when you walk into a flower shop you might be overwhelmed by all the floral scents, but if you stay in there for a long time, the smell will not be as noticeable. 
After long exposures to a candle scent your awareness of the odor normally fades to the point where the smell is not perceptible or is much weaker. After leaving the area, the sensitivity is restored with time. (You might have seen perfume counters that have containers of coffee beans, which is to "reset" your nose because of this exact same issue!)

Try walking out of the room for a period of time and reentering it, or snuffing the candle, letting it cool, and lighting it again. Please note that our candles should not be burned for more than four or five hours at a time as per their warning labels. 

Other culprits for a candle not smelling deal with the ventilation system in homes, or air filtering systems. If a candle is placed under an intake vent, the scent will be pulled in with the air. If you have any sort of air filters in your home, the scent could be caught in those as well.

Once your candle arrives, the chemical mixture of your candle will be tested by our team. If your candle meets our requirements, we will send your candle back to you. If your candle does not meet our requirements, a replacement will be sent at that time.

Our scents and coloring are previously mixed before pouring if your candle has color there is absolutely no way that it does not have a scent.


Q. What is the average burn time on your candles?

A. 135- 160 hours on the 20 oz candles

     70- 95 Hours on the 12 oz candles

Q. Can I track my orders online?

A. Yes, login to your account and you can see all your present and past orders

Q. What happens if I get a broken candle?

A. The customer must take a picture of the box and candle for insurance purposes and email it to hiddentreasuresoycandles@gmail.com. Once received we can get you a replacement candle. You must keep damaged candle and box until our insurance claim is settled. Candles that have been lit will not be replaced.

Q. What are your candles made of?

A. All our candles are made of soy wax and hand poured. we make each and every one by hand.

Q. How long does it take to ship my candle?
A. Once processed, your order will be shipped USPS priority mail 2-3 days
Q. Can I get a Refund?
A. Refunds are offered on unused and unburned candles.  You must notify us via email within 7 days of the delivery to you.If you are returning the candle after it has been delivered please make sure you get a return
tracking number.  This will make sure your package returns safely to our warehouse.
Q. Can I return my candle?
A. If you would like to return any candles (at your cost), you may send your unburned and unused candles to us at the following address:

*Please contact Customer Support before sending your return package.  Make sure all candles are packaged safely if they are returned broken, the item will not be refunded.
 Once we receive the candles, we will get a refund out to you for the price of the candles. Shipping costs are not refunded.*There will be a 10% restocking fee on all returned items
Q. I received the wrong candle what do I do?
A. If you accidentally received the wrong candle than let us know about  and we will make sure you are taken care of. You can return the candle that we sent you and we will cover the shipping or you can keep that one at a significant discount. Please send an email through to customer service and we will work out the details with you.
RETURN POLICY
****Merchandise is only eligible for return if the wick has not been burned, broken, or altered for any reason. Returns are accepted if we are contacted within 7 days upon when customer receives merchandise. Shipping is generally not refunded.  It is only refundable in specific circumstances.  Please contact our customer support team if you have any questions
